“Forever Loved, Never Forgotten”

The Navy Gold Star Program is eternally grateful for the sacrifice of those Service Members who have died in service to our country. To help us to never forget, we have set up this tribute page to honor and remember the memory of those lives. If you would like to honor the memory of your Sailor, Soldier, Marine, Airman or Coast Guardsman through the Navy Gold Star website please submit your thoughts and a photo.

James "Jamie" Swiggart was born in Boston, MA. A 2007 Naval Academy graduate, Jamie earned his Aviation Wings in 2010. From 2014-2015, he was a T-45 Goshawk instructor assigned to VT-7 in Meridian, MS. Growing up, Jamie always wanted to be a Navy Tailhook pilot. Jamie earned the rank of Eagle Scout and lived a life of service. His Boy Scout troop has the “Jamie Award” that is given out each year to a younger Scout that leads by quiet example and encouragement. He was a leader amongst his peers and often mentored his Sailors. He was a wonderful person who is greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Jamie is lovingly remembered by his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and John Wayt, his father and stepmother, William and Janet Swiggart, and his half-siblings, Abigail and Will.
