“Forever Loved, Never Forgotten”

The Navy Gold Star Program is eternally grateful for the sacrifice of those Service Members who have died in service to our country. To help us to never forget, we have set up this tribute page to honor and remember the memory of those lives. If you would like to honor the memory of your Sailor, Soldier, Marine, Airman or Coast Guardsman through the Navy Gold Star website please submit your thoughts and a photo.

When asking Max’s fellow Naval pilots how to describe Max- their description was “Fast, Loud and Awesome”.  Max put more life into his 29 years than most could imagine.  Max flew FA-18 Super Hornets and dreamed of becoming an astronaut.  We lost Max while he flew in honor of this Nation.  He served honorably in Pensacola, Florida; Meridian, Mississippi; Lemoore, California and on the USS Carl Vinson flying with the Strike Fighter Squadron 113 Stingers.   Max lived his life by his personal values of humility and gratitude; continuous growth and education; and honor, courage and commitment.  Humility and gratitude shown through his positive attitude and his genuine love of and interest in people, and never expecting anything in return other than friendship.  Continuous growth and education exhibited through earning his first bachelor’s degree and working on his second in engineering.  Honor, courage and commitment every day of his life.  Max was genuine in his desire to “Make the world a better place”, and we are fortunate to have him as long as we did. We will forever remember and love him, his smile, his laughter, his energy and his courage.  We miss you and love you- Your Family and Friends.
