“Forever Loved, Never Forgotten”

The Navy Gold Star Program is eternally grateful for the sacrifice of those Service Members who have died in service to our country. Mac was born in Oklahoma. One of four children. He joined the Navy as soon as he could. Like many young men and women, the service changed his life for the good. He was a crew chief for the P2V Neptune, a maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare aircraft. He died in a midair collision with a Crusader jet that had been practicing touch and goes off an aircraft carrier in the inter coastal waterway in Jacksonville, Florida.
